Senior C++ Engineer

We are looking for a Senior C++ Software Engineer to help develop our next generation DNA analysis engine. This position is full time. Compensation will be competitive, dependent on experience. Our offices are located in the heart of downtown Seattle. Local candidates or those willing to relocate to Seattle only, please!

Skills & Requirements

Required:

  • Computer Science degree or equivalent

  • 8+ years professional programming experience

  • 5+ years C++ experience (we use C++11, STL, Boost)

  • Python fluency; Boost.Python experience a plus

  • Experience with map/reduce in a high volume, large scale data processing app

  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to debug multithreaded, multiprocess, multi-node applications

  • Expert Linux command line skills

  • git (we use Bitbucket and git flow)

  • Deployment experience to AWS, Azure, GCP, or other cloud environment

  • A willingness to learn new science in our emerging field.

Nice to have:

Machine Learning Data Scientist

We are looking for a Machine Learning Data Scientist. This position is full time. Compensation will be competitive and dependent on experience. Our offices are located in the heart of downtown Seattle. Local candidates or those willing to relocate to Seattle only, please!

Skills & Requirements

Primary responsibilities:

  • Build, develop and scale our machine learning capabilities to solve difficult bioinformatics problems in a high-throughput environment

  • Create machine learning models for diverse problems such as parameter optimization, false positive scoring, and genotype to phenotype classification

  • Produce visualizations of experiment results to help illustrate and predict future product development.

Requirements:

  • Masters in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Math or equivalent experience

  • Strong fundamentals in problem solving, algorithm design and complexity analysis

  • Excellent coding skills in at least one programming language, preferably Python and/or C++

  • Familiarity with open source tools for deep learning and machine learning technology such as Keras, tensorflow, pytorch, scikit-learn, pandas, etc.

  • Proven ability to work independently on development of complex models with extremely large and complex data structures

  • At least 3+ years of industry experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Bioinformatics experience a plus

  • A willingness to learn new science in our emerging field.
